Job Description: Responsible
for practical in-classroom training and mentoring for CDA candidates,
University practicum students, student teachers and education staff at
the Salt Lake CAP Head Start lab school classroom. Supports classroom
team in providing a comprehensive Head Start program. The Master
Teacher is responsible for the safety, supervision, and activities of
the pre-school age children assigned under his/her care in the program.
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Early
Childhood Education or Family and Consumer Studies.
or Bachelor Degree in a
related field with an emphasis in Early Childhood essential topics.
1 year of related
experience preferred. MUST BE A CURRENT EMPLOYEE OF SLCAP.
Wage:
$144.40 - $175.36 Daily Rate based on education and experience.
(Equivalent to $18.05 to $21.92 per hour based on an 8 hour day.)

Job Summary: The
Executive Director reports to the Board of Trustees. Within the
framework of the organization’s bylaws and policies established by the
Board, the Executive Director supervises key executive level managers
and is responsible to perform a wide range of difficult-to-complex
administrative activities related to finances and accounting, marketing
and promotion of services, human resources, and discretionary activities
that serve to support effective business operations. Under general
direction from the Board, s/he uses considerable independent judgment in
decisions that influence operations; directs and participates in the
development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and
procedures; directs and ensures proper coordination of all
administrative affairs. The Executive Director advises and assists
the Board; prepares agendas and documents, attends and participates in
Board of Trustees meetings; provides staff support to the Executive,
Personnel, Finance, EEO, Program and Evaluation, Issues and Space
committees of the Board; and acts as an advisor to the Head Start Policy
Council. This position requires a commitment to the mission and
goals of Salt Lake CAP and programs dedicated to assisting low income
persons.
Qualifications: Bachelor
degree is required, master degree preferred; must become a Certified
Community Action Professional (CCAP) within three (3) years of accepting
this position. Ten (10) years of recent relevant experience
