Job Summary:         In conjunction with the Head Start Health and Family Partnership Manager and Health and Family Partnership Team, is responsible for providing comprehensive case management for families in assigned classrooms. Must maintain full compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards, Child Care Licensing Policies and Health Department Codes and Regulations

 

Qualifications:         Associate and/or Bachelor degree in social, human or family services. Two years of related experience preferred. Previous Head Start experience preferred. 

 

Wage:           $12.88 – $23.38 per hour dependent on experience and education (associate, bachelor, or masters degree)

 

Employment Status: Full Time Year Round

VISTA Summer Associates

10-Week Position June 2—August 8

Summer Project Activities:

Oversee promotion of five Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) service sites; promotion includes engaging local media, community partners, and the agency’s social media and volunteer coordinator.

Promote volunteer opportunities and schedule volunteers at each SFSP site; coordinate with Site Supervisors, delivery drivers and staff on volunteer facilitation of daily set-up, dinner service and breakdown.

Develop alternate food service inclement weather plans and coordinate with hosting facilities

Solicit resources and create schedule of enrichment activities for families at each SFSP site, including engaging partnerships

Coordinate with contacts at CACFP office help program managers develop a plan for taking over select sites that end SFSP in mid-summer

Organize meal services, including set-up and break-down of daily meals, and activities related to the Summer Food Service Program

AmeriCorps VISTA Summer Associates receive a living stipend from the Corporation for National and Community Service in exchange

for their service with Salt Lake CAP.

• $ 2,180 total living allowance for serving in the 10-week program

• Paid Holiday off: Independence Day

• Interest accrued on qualifying student loans while serving in the program may be reimbursed

• Segal Education Award of $1,200 upon successful completion of program

WORK SCHEDULE AND HOURS

Full-time 40 hours/week for 10 weeks, beginning June 2ndEvenings required.
